EN 81-72 is an integration to the 81-20 regulation for fire and evacuation situations under the control of firefighters.
This regulatory framework defines the correct functioning of the lift during firefighting operations for at least 2 hours.
What does the regulation include?
— Resistance of electronic controls to floors at temperatures between 0 and 65 ºC (or shall be made out of service);
— Electronical devices IPX3;*
— A SWITCH of the fire-fighting lift in the firefighters access floor which must be activated with a TRIANGULAR KEY;
— IPX3 car display and push-buttons;
— IPX3 landing operating fixtures;
— Guarantee of functioning in presence of smoke (SMOKE RESISTANCE);
— In the car, the firefighters access floor must be clearly indicated (via FIRE PICTOGRAM);
— Active two-way communication shall be provided between: Fire access floor and car | Engine room and car | Other position (optional) and car.
