The future born out of respect.

Responsibility
Putting people’s lives first, protecting our planet, designing a future accessible to all. This is Vega Responsibility. Ours is a path of all-round responsibility towards those who revolve around the Vega world and beyond: from employees to customers, suppliers, partners and the social community.

That is why we have adopted guiding values and international standards for sustainable development (SDGs), social responsibility (ESG), and the reduction of emissions throughout the supply chain (Scope 3).

Environmental Sustainability

Ten concrete actions we take to extend the product life cycle, safeguard natural resources and reduce environmental impact.

1. Production machines designed to limit the use of plastic.
2. Reduction of pollutant emissions and waste from industrial activities.
3. Easy, inexpensive product disposal, dismantling and recycling.
4. Energy-saving devices for managing lift traffic.
5. Air shipments of Vega products using sustainable fuel.
6. Remote technical support to reduce road travel.
7. Replacing paper manuals with digital media (Digital Path).
8. Operational centre designed with high-energy efficiency criteria.
9. Procedures for proper waste separation in companies.
10. Installation of water dispensers in the company to reduce the use of plastic.

Corporate Ethics

The transparency of a company can also be seen by its willingness to undergo control measures. Here are the procedures we put in place to protect professional integrity and legality, inside and outside Vega.

Operational transparency

With the adoption of the Whistleblowing procedure (Legislative Decree 24/2023), our employees, contractors and suppliers have the opportunity to report – in the utmost confidentiality (informativa privacy) – any offences, irregularities and fraudulent activities detected in person. In addition, to prevent the risk of committing offences, we have activated the Organisational Model 231 (Legislative Decree 231/2001): the Code of Ethics that includes an independent Supervisory Board and internal control procedures. Finally, in order to promote a culture of legality, every two years our managers participate in anti-corruption courses.

Code of Ethics

To ensure the seriousness of our work, we have given ourselves a code. A code of ethics guided by principles that guide the conduct of our employees, agents, suppliers, distributors and partners. For a corporate culture built on the values of integrity, responsibility and customer satisfaction.

Well-being at work

There is no more valuable resource for a company than people. Because they are its beating heart. Its future. That is why our new headquarters is designed according to the principles of bio-architecture. To ensure comfort, safety and well-being for our team. And protect the environment.

Team building

Vega Free Space has been established to enhance corporate well-being. This committee, comprising Vega employees, organises activities and events that promote the well-being and cohesion of the Vega team: from regular parties to football and volleyball tournaments and pilates classes.

Social Solidarity

Being a responsible company also means giving concrete help to those who need it most. Vega has always had the local communities in its area and beyond at heart, offering support to philanthropic organisations, sports associations and public institutions.

Liberi nel vento

When we chose to support the association Liberi nel vento, we did so for an important reason: to help raise the quality of life for everyone. Thanks to this association in our area, those with a physical, mental or sensory disability can experience the emotions that only a sport like sailing can give. And feel free in the wind.

Lega del Filo d’Oro

Sometimes, life traces an obstacle course. To address it, one needs responsibility. That is why we support the Lega del Filo d’Oro in favour of those who cannot see and hear. We do this by being a part of “Oltre i limiti”: the programme that funds customised pathways for those with severe psychosensory disabilities. To give a new future to those who need it most.

Care to Action

CARE TO ACTION is an Italian NGO that has been working in India to offer redemption opportunities to children, women and vulnerable communities. Vega supports this association in order to promote long-distance adoptions of children who are discriminated, abandoned, or with disabilities.

Nursery Firmum School

Majengo, Kenya. Here is Nursery Firmum School: the association founded on the initiative of Bruno Donzelli, supporting a school for children aged 3-6 years. Vega supports the development of this African education centre, contributing to teachers’ salaries, school canteen and operating costs.

Responsible production

There are invisible but real barriers. These are architectural and cultural barriers that limit and damage people’s lives. Especially the most vulnerable. Through our principles of social solidarity, we at Vega want to contribute every day to breaking down the barriers of indifference. And build a new future.

Inclusive products

Ensuring lift accessibility to all. No one excluded. This is the ethical principle that guides the design of Vega products. Like for our buttons. Lift components available with braille decorations; or buttons developed in accordance with UNIEN 81-70. This also enables people with visual or motor disabilities to access vertical transport services, taking part in social life. Without distinction.

Production ethics

Producing is not enough. It must be done conscientiously. This is why we have achieved full compliance with European RoHS and REACH (Declaration of Conformity) declarations, on environmental and social sustainability. This means that we respect the restrictions on the use and handling of chemicals and hazardous substances applied to electrical and electronic components, with full control over our supplier network. To safeguard the environment and protect human health.

Sustainable projects

To protect the environment and safeguard people’s well-being, we take part in projects of environmental sustainability, solidarity and social assistance.

RAEEcovery Project

Is it possible to give new life to electronic components, transforming them from a polluting waste into a resource to be valorised? This is the objective of the RAEEcovery project, which Vega has joined. The research project was created to develop technological solutions dedicated to the recovery and reuse of electronic components together with the recycling of the materials contained in them. For a more efficient and sustainable supply chain in the field of WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment), in the name of a circular economy. An initiative financed by the Marche Region together with the Marche Polytechnic University.

Mosaico

There are elderly people in our area who live within small local communities. People in isolated conditions, subject to physical, emotional and relational vulnerability. To help make their lives more active and inclusive, Vega participates in the Mosaico project promoted by the European Union. A web platform developed to deliver tailor-made services dedicated to the most vulnerable.
